Mephistopheles: [...] asked them 3 items, to be able to have a subob, an alternating job that could boost 50% the main one.[sic] He means a Subjob, that is more skill so it is a good thing. The technical, in-game term for this is a "support job," but nearly everyone will refer to it as a "subjob" or "subclass." A subjob adds most of the abilities and traits of a second job to your main job. For example, a black mage with a white mage subjob can case Cure spells, and a warrior with a monk subjob has a better hand-to-hand ability than one without. You also get bonuses to some of the attributes associated with your subjob. A warrior with a monk subjob has more hit points and STR, a white mage with a black mage subjob has more magic points, and a red mage with a white mage subjob has more MND. The most notable ability that you do not receive is the 2hr ability of your subjob. ffxi.allakhazam.com
The other quest is called "Elder Memories." It is available from Isacio in Selbina (G-10). He asks for a magicked skull, which is dropped by ghouls, then a damselfly worm, which is dropped by damselflies, and then a crab apron, which is dropped by snippers. All of these monsters can be found in the Valkurm Dunes. (source same as above). So you mean we have to get different items?? If not the will go for the crab apron ...

Mhe, I kind of know something about how subjobs should work, I read subob and thought, "this guy is drunk", so whatever.
I don't like the fact of using sources to know where to find stuff, an RPG generally makes you find it, not investigate on the web for the answer.

Riiiiiight.
I forgot the little, none to be more precise, difference that makes.
Oh, this is not the RP board, but FFXI is an MMORPG, in any case an opinion is that, so it wouldn't matter in any case. And you know what I mean.
LOL, you posted here, but not to join, LOL

LOL
It's not that I ignore you, it's just that your post doesn't makes sense, have you read it by yourself? you start talking about some other quest, I don't know why you did that.
Or I'll just pretend you're speaking to Perseus (which sounds most probable) and continue with my happy life.
-Thou hast been ignored-

Ok peoples, don't start throwing full wine bottles at your computer, I shalt continue. Gamemaniac: Congratulations! Someone has been thinking, great use of the net to find the name of the quest and such, I could've done that, but it'd go against my teachings/ways. Anyways, Gamemaniac decided to go fro the crab apron, baaaad choice mate. For someone who investigated you should know that at low level, thief's damage can be outstanded by a white mage, and a crab is...like 90% armor, so long story short, you get your hind pwned. Mephistopheles on the other side, made the right choice of going against skeletons, since monks have quite an edge over the undead, even though it was mere luck. He gets the item before dawn, and tries to decide on which item to get. Now: Gamemaniac can go over: Ask Mephistopheles to help him get Magicked Skull, ask a ranger to help him get a crab apron, or get a fly worm. Mephistopheles can choose: Help Gamemaniac get a skull, Get a Crab Apron, or Get a Fly Worm

Gamemaniac's side didn't look so well.... he got pwned........ which means I MUST go there and prove I'm stronger (or die trying), for the crab apron! whatever that stuff is.
