Gamemaniac hath cometh into the kingdom of San'Doria, a massive fortress made by the elvaans to protect their people 20 years ago from the impending raid of the beastman. As he walks into town he notices a strange building near the chocobo stables. "Wth is that?" asked Gamemaniac. "T'is the Auction House, AH for short."said a voice out of nowhere. "Ok....creepy...well I hope there's katars!" "No there ain't",said the voice. "Who are you anyway XD" typed Gamemaniac. "Eh....plot hole..." and with that the voice vanished. Gamemaniac had gathered some gold and decided to buy a dexterity knife, which is good, a shield and some leather armor. He then goes outside again, fully armed and ready for battle.
Mephistopheles entered Gusgen Mines, he levels up to 8 and starts gaining confidence, since rabbits inhabit the entrance he decides to go into the mines a bit more. 5 minutes later he is zoning through the exit 100 quadavs of higher level. He kills various noobs but he lives. He got to kill one quadav, which gave him a harness to wear. "I think they may be mad...I better get out of here for a while...."he said nervously, as he ran through Gustaberg. A ballista (pvp) was going to happen there soon, and they were surely looking forward to kill Mephistopheles...
Gamemaniac can go to Orc Fort, King Ramperre Tomb, or La Thiene Plateau.
Mephistopheles can go to Derfland Plains, Korroloka Cave or Bedeaux.

Mephistopheles, after his close encounter at Gusgen Mines, deicdes to go into a more wide area, the Plains of Derfland. This valley holds various windmills and is home for varous species of monsters. Mehpistopheles cheered as he passed level 11 as a monk, and had found a pair of knuckles to fight with. He notices various mages trying to kill bees, while he chares right in into them and kill the bees so fast mage can't say: "omgwtfbbq...!" He then discovers bees don't cut it anymore, so he shall venture moe into Vana'Diel.....
Gamemaniac had gone through a fine day already after reaching level 10 of his thief job. His new weapon skill made him proud and confident, so he decided to try to expand his horizons, he enters La Thiene Plateau, in which is very much like Derfland Plains. The difference is that the ram-type of monster has different name...oh and undead appear on night. So he decided to run to some kind of stone structure, to spend the night. Suddenly an eskeleton with a scythe grabs him from behind and long story short....Gamemaniac dies. The mob also stealed his shield and a bandana that had gathered. "Wait a minute..."said Gamemaniac as he died" You can't steal my stuff!" he screamed. " Hey I got needs too! Want me to rob you your pants?" "Logout plz god logout!" typed gamemaniac as he warped back to San'Doria.
Mephistopheles can go to Valkurm Dunes, Gustav Tunnel or Crag of Holla
Gamemaniac can go to Valkurm Dunes, Ordelle Caves, or Yughott Grotto

A dserted beach-like paradise, Valkurm Dunes holds many sercrets and dangers. Crabs, Pugils(fish-like thingies) and yet more undead (but at night) inhabit these untamed lands. Gamemaniac entered throughLa Thiene Plateau entrance, after having his hind pwned yet again by the perverted skeleton he had encountered earlier. Mephistopheles entered Valkurm Dunes thorugh Derfland Plains, as he saw Bastok had taken control of this area, he decided to set his Homepoint (hp for short) so he wouldn't have to come back all the way from Bastok if he was killed. Gamemaniac wasn't so lucky but he encountered Mephistopheles and decided to form a party, so they could kill lizards. They gathered a White Mage, a Black Mage, a Paladin and a Samurai. They then decided on a camp to take these lizards. "That looks like a safe spot ppls!" saud the Black Mage. "Yeaaaah......where all the high lvl goblins are?" asked skeptically Gamemaniac. "No, over there!"said BM again. "The one with high lvl dragons?....Wait a minute, there aren't dragons in valkurm dunes!"said Mephistopheles. "Well, everyone needs a vacation you know...."said a dragon. "Well, lets decide on a spot.
Ok now, you can only decide on one camp spot each since you're in a party, so pm each other and decide what's the best choice.
The party can go to L10, I9, or D12. (These are coordinates yo)
Choose well warriors......

Camp spot? and what the hell is that? One would imply you camp after you're injured, but, maybe it's some other strange stuff.

No the camps works like this :
1) you settle a camp.
2) A fast and long range party member is sent to hunt.
3) Once the "Hunter" finds a good prey for the party he lures him into the camp.
4) Meanwhile camp members where healed and have regain Mana. By the time the "hunter" and prey arrives they are ready to kill.
5) Party Kills prey (Hopefully)
6) Repeat steps 2 to 5 until there are no more suitable preys or party is death.
That is how they works .... according to a friend...
How are we suppose to know what each coordinate has to offer? is this a lucky pick thing...

I don't like how that sounds....... too much steps involved in killing stuff........
Why we don't just engage the enemies? I mean, I thogh it battles would be similar to Neverwinter Nights: You investigate around (well, noting there is a plot or side quests to finish), if you see an enemy, you attack it as best as you can (strategy attacks or elements for specific kinds of enemies or team work or plain direct melee), end of story.
EDIT: You can only post having Gamemaniac's agreement, so....no self-deciding.

You must pick a camp, becuase unlike your Neverwinter Nights, here it is more real, mobs are all around, high and low, and they won't wait for you to finish up 1 to take the other one, so You must pick a spot to 1) Protect your healers and mages. 2) Not get pwned by many monsters. And 3) Sqare Enix orders it, bummer for you! =P
Just decide on 1 both of you and let one of you post it, you must agree on the coordinate. Yes it is a matter of luck, or knowledge, if you know where lizards are. (hint: There are coordinates where there are no lizards! But evil thingies, or funny.....or evily funny...)

Hey, there's nothing unreal about it, mobs do jump around you.
LOL, square orders it, but he's not here.
I said D12, and I'm going there even if I have to go alone. There is no possible agreement if we don't have information whatsoever

Well... I think is not a matter of which one is more real ... The thing is that in FFXI everything is more organize and there fore if not done correctly it could get you really bad reasults. Most enemies in FFXI will kill lone fighters. The whole game evols around parties; hence, making it more important to know how to behave on a party than to just go suicidal attaking like barbarians. I know this won't matter much to you, Mephistopheles, since you like killing without purpouse but even if you don't care please don't complain so much not everything is like you want it to be.
Yet I agree with you on the location thing ... If there is no info at all, how are we suppose to justify our location?... either you give us at least somewhere get that info or take the first reply ......

1) You can look map coordinates and mob sightings at allakhazam.com, if you want a more accurate answer. But if not suit yourself....
Well, Gamemaniac and Mephistopheles went to camp, they started with lizards, then crabs, and finally pugils, they had advanced many levels, but, their gear was runnin' out of date. So at 18 they decided to venture into Selbina, a small town in the middle of the dunes. They found out the sad news that there was no weapon or armor store, but mere spell shops, but there was an interesting fellow, who asked them 3 items, to be able to have a subob, an alternating job that could boost 50% the main one. That sounded pretty good and they decided to hunt these 3 items.
Both adventurers can pick 3 paths, which will guide to an item, both are level 19 by the way.
Go get an Ancient Skull, go get a Fly Worm, or get a Hard Shell, all found at the Dunes. Decide brave ones, but choose well. Consult Allakhazam if you want, but remember, sometimes it won't go as planned...

Some dude asked for help? i don't recall hearin the reward part, but I'll do it for the possible XP.
And then what? you just said everything is in the Dunes, I would go for whatever my party accepts to. I'm sure that I can't trust them, but whatever.
