Fire Red and Leaf Green sell one million By Hirohiko Niizumi, GameSpot 02/12/04 04:55 PM www.gamespot.com/gba/rpg/pokemongreen/news_6089323.htmlTOKYO--Nintendo's Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green achieve a rare feat in Japan this week, selling over one million copies combined. According to the sales charts by Media Create for the fourth week of January (January 26 - February 1), Pokemon: Fire Red and Pokemon: Leaf Green ranked first place, with each title selling 518,000 and 495,000 copies, respectively. Since Pokemon titles were released on January 29, the two games sold a total of 1.01 million copies in their first four days alone. Counted separately, Fire Red and Leaf Green sold almost five times more than the average first-place finisher on the Japanese Charts. Victorious Boxers 2 (Hajime no Ippo), a PS2 fighting game based on a popular manga series, would have come at the top of the charts if the two Pokemon titles were not released. Victorious Boxers 2 was released on the same date as Pokemon: Fire Red and Leaf Green, ranking third for the week with sales of 116,000 copies. The release of Fire Red and Leaf Green also drove up sales in both the GBA SP and the GBA. Sales of the GBA SP during the week of the two title's release rose by 38 percent, with 64,800 units getting sold. The GBA's sales rose by 61 percent, moving 10,200 units.

[glow=purple,4,300]When are they going to be released here, calu?[/glow] Unfortunately, currently there isn't release date on America or Europe . Also it seems that in these games the running feature has been removed. The L and R buttons have a new function, you can view a help menu that will be changing depending on your progress.
