As I went through an epic novel of some author I can't remember, a man addressed me: "Are you Perseus?"
"Yes I am, may I help you?", I answered calmly. "This is a letter from our ruler, the mayor", he answered. He gave me a letter, with the emblem of the mayor on it. "Huh, so another mission of some sort?"I asked myself, as I realized the postman had fleed the scene. As I read it, the mayor described a shadow roaming his castle grounds at night. He was hiring hunters to track it down and get him alive or dead. " I should tell my comrades to gather a hunting group...."

Hunting group? my favorite......... after the other 50 favorite stuff of course.
Alright, I'll be in A2 if you need me.
If there's a shadow roaming, it would help to, like, turn on the lights, torches, big nasty fires or whatever.

Oh that Mayor does it again. Next time we might be searching for a monster on the closet. Since the front sit is already taken, I'll be on A1. How many guards are there on this castle? We could make an alarm system. Put on some strings connected to bells. The guards could call for us when they hear them. Meanwhile we could roam around the castel or rest as you wish. Any way I'll keep my sences ready for any disturbance. That would be during the nigths. To track the creature if there is one, we could use a color dust on the parts of the castelwhere it has been seen. That way we could track it during the day. Maybe even find where it's hidding. Another question how big is the castle? Does it has subterrain passages? What about towers? Any especial place could become a creatures home.

I suggest to use a lure or something similar..... what do mysterious monsters tend to like? human flesh on a stick? maybe some good ol' ale from the pub, nobody says no to that stuff, we could get drunk the creature with some red dwarven ale, heh, only dwarves like me can drink that stuff and keep sane.
Well, of course some information about the castle helps, but the mayor apparently made a run for it........ I don't see him around, maybe we'll ask him later..... sometimes not even the owner knows those secret passages, left there from the previous owner.
Hey, how much time do we dispose of? and if the "creature" comes at night, what hour is it now?
So............ what now?

Hmmm...your ideas are good, but the grounds are full with traps so we dont need to worry about "trapping it" but to find it, lure it into a trap and control the situation, so our job will be more likely to guard the traps of the grounds. We shouldn't split since that thing may not be the only one roaming, since no sightings have been confrimed that it's the same creature that have been seen around the grounds.

"Greetings warrior and Perseus!", said Falador. "Hi Falas, I'm here on behalf of the mayor to guard your traps this night", I said. I whispered to Mephistopheles:" This is my buddy Falador, he is the captain of Knights, I met him some time ago. "And who are your companions?", asked Falador. "Oh, how rude of me,this is Mephistopheles, a Dwarf Lord, he is a Monk, a martial arts master. And this is Gamemaniac, he is an Assasin, a deathbringer as he claims." Mephistopheles and Gameaniac bowed their heads. " I see, well, you can get outside by that gate", said Falador as he pointed towards a dark, metal gray gate. "We have have heard noises from that part of the grounds, but our priority is not to let whatever is out there in", said Falador.
As we reached the gate we heard Falador say: "Be careful, that thing sounds strong." We passed through it and walked into the grounds.
Fortunately it was a full moon night. The moon glistened through the vast land that were the castle grounds, allowing us to see almost as clear as if it was day.

"Great job warriors, I knew you and your companions would be able to trap the thing Perseus!"said Falador, who had just opened the gray gate. "Whatever that thing was...it sure was dangerous...almost got us there.."
"The mayor sends his apologies for not greeting you, but he's in a meeting with Kharstoff, the Chief Magician of Tukuar. "I see, it was no prob..." I said.
"Oh yeah the mayor asked me to give you this..."
-recieved 4000 gold each-
What? suddenly....the wyrm collapses into 3 small orbs...
-recieved unkown orb-
"A little thank you gift, you are free to stay the night, we will discuss this matter in the morning. You look very weary, can't blame you, after battling such vicious creature."
"Thank you Falas.." And with that, Mephistopheles, Gamemaniac and Perseus went into the gray gate.

Oh right, I never said it, but you can't just say how much the reward is since you don't manage the store's prices. So I'll make the rewards, anyway, I have to make the gold movements.
1500 is the real reward, the quest was too short to ask for more.
