Unlocked, for everyone who hadn't noticed.
Just enter whoever wants to, there's no problem, we'll say that some mercs arrived to town late.
Note: This quest will have no battle advancement, but whoever enters this quest will be sent to the next one automatically, which will be The Siege of Tukuar, where there'll be a lot of battle. There's no need for position here.
This quest is all talk, (RPG's also have storylines) so you might think a biography for your character if you want to add something.
Of course I enter..... waiting for someone else.

As I entered the room, I saw Mephistopheles and Gamemaniac with the mayor of Tukuar. They seemed to be upstarted by my arrival. I said: "Greetings, sorry I'm late, I had to make some preparations..." They nodded as I sat with them to discuss some.
"Mayor I recieved your letter..."I started. "Not now Perseus", said the mayor,"There are more urgent matter at hand..."

[You do have an interesting aproach to this stuff]
Indeed we have a more important thing over ourselves. Newcomer, I sence you are a young wizard. May I ask what's your innate power? We surely need more magical power and a variety of elements is more welcome in my opinion. Oh ... Where are my manners? Sorry, let me introduce my self:
My name si Gamemaniac and death is my working tool; that is I'm an assasin. I'm sure you knew me by name only as I'm sure I have heard of you. but now we both have the pleasure of meeting. I'll let my friend introduce himself and tell what we may be facing tomorrow.

Well.... I guess I'll explain to you what happened between Neru and me....
I was not born in this land, the universe is composed in several dimensions, and my birthplace is Quor-Toth, the hell dimension....
Back at Quor-Toth, power is everything, and I used to be one of the strongest fighters.
I once seized the Babel Tower, a tower in gigantic proportions, surely not made by human hands, I killed the owner and kept it for me as my home... heh, it was quite nice.
One day I found five kids wandering near the tower, I guessed their parents were dead, this kind of cruel stuff is kind of normal in Quor-Toth, I knew that if left there, they would end being food for the Skralegs, winged reapers that eat humans, so I took them in Babel Tower and took care of them........ and whenever anybody tried to do anything to them, I killed them to protect the boys.... and that is as I became known as the Guardian of Babel Tower.
Quor-Toth has a political life also, however power is the key, the world was controlled by 3 powerful evil madmen known as the Sinistrals....... and they didn't agreed with me taking care of some kids.... apparently they knew who the kids were, they were important to them, and had sent them killed many times.
Protecting them was a full time job, and I get frustrated. I attacked the Sinistrals in their Fortress and killed them all by myself, it was a long and hard fight, but I won.... that day I was the single strongest man in the world..... then I found something on the ceiling in the last floor of the Fortress of Doom.... the Mirror of Souls.
The Mirror of Souls allows you to see any part of the planet, the Sinistrals used it to controll the world below.
I destroyed the Mirror of Souls with my great Sword of Valkesh, but then I found out about its other capability.
The Mirror of Souls opened a portal between dimensions..... it sucked all the Fortress of Doom with its power... but i was the only living thing left in all the fortress.
The portal threw me through all the dimensions, while I was in the stream, I aw each dimension for 3 minutes:
First, the paradise dimension, a place to envy, where everything is joy.
Second, the material dimension, where there is no entity, just matter....... but I could resemble the dead bodies.
Third, the ethereal dimension, where there is no matter, but souls, being there I could sense the thoughts and memories of the souls that suffered there forever.....
Fourth, the energetic dimension, where all there is, is energy, but an energy flow so big it sucked my powers out of my body...... I was defensless, that amount of energy was unmatched, from that moment, I lost all my power....
Fifth and last, the primary dimension, the current one, which has a little from all the others.
After leaving Quor-Toth, this world is beautiful, but I couldn't know what would happen to the boys..... Neru said all died except from him, and a new ruler, Murdoc, is far stronger than anyone else. He must have discovered the way I used, and made a portal with the shards of the mirror or something like that.
If the runes unite the dimensions as Neru said, he has to be stopped....... if they were created to separate dimensions, for a good reason it may be..... I believe, the dimension separation was to bind some entities...... the souls from the ethereal dimension have their bodies trapped in the material dimension, apart from their power left aside in the energetic dimension, they must be fearsome and evil for that such a great power was needed to stop them.

Mayor: "Amazing..... however, we need to focus on the problem at hand, the watchtower already reported something."
-An orc raid is coming to town..... they come from the northeast...... not sure how many.... at least 20 or more.-
Mayor: "Hmmm, we don't have the manpower to stop so many orcs, we need your help."
Mephistopheles: "If they come from the northeast, we might need to cover two fronts, the north gate and the east gate, our priority is not to let them enter."
Mayor: "We only have 10 men ready to fight, 6 melee and 4 ranged, and they are at your disposal, you are now the leaders of the defense of Tukuar, lead our men to victory."
Melee guards status: Level: 4 HP: 48 Attack: 17 Defense: 6 Saving throws: 5 Speed: 10
Ranged guards status: Level: 4 HP: 40 Attack: 13 Defense: 9 Saving throws: 5 Speed: 10
Mephistopheles: "Well, then we have some backup, now, let's make an effective tactic against the orcs. I know something about them.... they always fight in groups of 4, melee in the front corners guarding ranged in the back corners. So, at any rate, we must not position ourselves in the middle, or we'll be caught by the cross fire."
Mayor: "Strange.... weren't you 3 without Perseus?"
Mephistopheles: "Yes, I wonder where Tsukasa is...... I haven't seen him, he could be late, or he could have already evacuated the town."

I wouldn't be surprise he got caught up with studing new magic tricks. Anyway I have a feeling we will have his suport. So with Tsukasa qe are 4 mercenaries plus the 6 melee soldiers and 4 range man. As it appears we must divide our forces to protect each gate.

I'll go to the east... you go north, since we're the melee we should go separated, Perseus or Tsukasa can go with any.
Don't trust too much on this guards, I think they'll get smashed. I'll take 3 melee and 2 ranged, and you take the other 5.
Well, since we'll have several battles the basic positions should be as follows:
All parties can be up to 5, so don't think you'll enter all the guards at once.
A "T" positioned party can divert well the enemy attacks, it can also work as an inverse "T" or a cross, in any case, gamemaniac should be right in front of Perseus/Tsukasa, because you resist much more than these guards and will offer a much better protection. But by anything place a mage in C3 in a "T" formation, or he'll surely die.
My strategy will be to place myself in A1, with a melee guard in A2 and B2, and a ranged at C1, and whoever comes with me should be on B1, that way, there's no possible way they can inflict damage on, let's say, Perseus, since he has very little HP, while being in B1 with my formation.

Hmm...Gamemaniac seems strong enough to handle them on their own, at least until Tsukasa returns, so I'll go with you Mephistopheles, in the B1 position. We should really try to contact Tsukasa, this battle will be rough unless we are all here.

That seems good but let me study the case a little more as I believe I got a good idea I just have to polish it a little more. Also by any chance does the man on the watch tower know what level the orcs are?

Man, they don't carry a paper saying "we're level XXX" you're not supposed to know... but in any case, they are higher than our guards, that's for sure.
Give us any tactic you want.... but this quest is almost over.

Maybe the dinner already finished at the mayor's house at this time and I ate nothing in it, however, if gamemaniac is at Mephistopheles's right, I choose to be behind him, (b2).

I told you he would come. Now about the Tactis ... I do believe we need a good formation on both fronts. I and mephistopheles should go separate ways. But I think we should each take a wizard, as we never know when will need magic. What I would do is to make two main units. One would be made up of Me on a1, a Melee Soldier on a3, Perseus on b1, a Ranger on b3 and a ranger on c3. The other one would be made up of Mephistopheles on A1, a Melee soldier on A3, Tsukasa on B1, A ranger on b3 and another ranger on c3. After a each battle will resuply the units with the remaining troops. As I fear after a couple of battles each unit will loose the B3 Ranger. At that time we should fill the unit with the remaining soldiers. I recomend that the the wizards buy some X-elixir to heal front character after battle. Too bad thoes soldiers are inmune to the elixir. And the front characters should buy more elixirs to heal after battle. We will use the elixir first then the x-elixir. Ah good old tactics ... just like when I was a general back on my home land. Of course this is only an opinion. As I recall the mayor was worry about a dark creature on his castle, we could go and solve that if we got time before the orcs attack, that wayh we could train a bit before battle.
