Wal-Mart Pulls the Plug on X-Box 360 KiosksContributed by dw2003 on 25 Oct 2005 - 20:25 Gamers looking to be among the first to get their hands on an X-box 360 controller at Wal-Mart demo kiosks can still do it, but they won't actually be controlling anything. Xbox 360 kiosks placed in Wal-Mart stores across the country have been shut off, said a Microsoft spokesperson contacted this afternoon. The reason, according to Microsoft, is due to the console causing interference with Wal-Mart's wireless "hand scanner" inventory system. Microsoft has acknowledged the problem as being "minor" and says a software solution is in the works to correct it. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Source

Oh man, that´s a little bit wierd no? That the controls are interfering the hand scanner inventory system. I think is because the controls have a chip that they would be interfering things hand scanners. I think so.

I guess that their wireless sistem is cool enough to tamper with the market's hand scanner, however due that it doesn't says exactly what happened, I have no idea what actually happens, nor the extent of the damage it can produce.... he he he, produce damage.
