Konami preps Metal Gear retrospective Subsistence preorder bonus Metal Gear Saga Volume 1 includes series recap, new interviews, trailers, and more. By Brendan Sinclair, Jan 25, 2006
Konami took the occasion of its press event in San Francisco today to announce the Metal Gear Saga Volume 1 DVD, a preorder bonus for gamers who reserve the upcoming PlayStation 2 title Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.
Metal Gear Saga will feature a half-hour, documentary-style recounting of the series' narrative, produced by series creator Hideo Kojima and directed by Ryan Payton. The disc will also have trailers for the latest batch of Metal Gear games and a series of interviews with Kojima himself, where he talks about a range of topics from the NES game Snake's Revenge (which is mysteriously absent from the Metal Gear Saga chronology) to the series' PlayStation 3 debut in Metal Gear Solid 4.
The whole package will come with a foil-embossed cover and artwork by Yoji Shinkawa and should be available for gamers who preorder Subsistence at North American retailers starting in mid-February. For more information on Subsistence, check out GameSpot's latest preview.

Well, it's better than nothing, and it should get a good number of reserves, especally with this.

Yeah, though I don't like very much that they repeat numbers, there's already Snake Eater, but it is a VERY good game, so, my expectations are a coin toss.
