Stronger than steel, And older than time. They are more patient than death, And shall stand even when the stars have ceased to shine. Their strength is embedded In roots buried deep, Where the sands and frosts of ages Can never hope to touch or reach.

First, nothing can be older than time, time is a measurement, unless you're religious and say the answer is god or something like that. Second, stars will never cease to shine, because when a star explodes, implodes or whatever, the materials flow into space, where they can meet more matter, create gravity and form another star. And that gravity is the only constant that never disappears because you can't destroy the matter and gravity will keep creating again and again for all eternity and has been there always, you could say it's buried because the more mass, the more gravity it is created.
