Players of Mario Kart DS have wondered why some tracks and battle mode are not playable online. Most of them have a theory that the main reason would be because of lag issues. Yesterday, some people began to post that a certain user during an online match was selecting tracks that are not in the MKDS online list. Parasyte, who is the first hacker in MKDS, has been trying online some tracks that are not in the normal list. He has proved that some of the tracks could be online without having serious problems. He races in Regional(lives in USA), so all people in America may get matched with him. If you don't live in America, you can try posting your friend code in this thread. Now that we have seen that most tracks are playable online without having serious lag issues, will Nintendo, after seeing this hack, give us a patch so that we(normal users) can choose from all tracks in the game? Will we get battle mode online? Discuss

UPDATE: Parasyte has found that there are some Beta courses in the MKDS Card. This could mean that Nintendo could add more tracks to the game if they wished. One of the courses that is playable is GCN Mario Circuit.

Yes, he is actually hacking the game. He has the necessary equipment to check the game code in his computer, then through an empty GBA cart, he changes the variables in MKDS.

It's not new to hear someone hacks a game, it's not new either to hear that the hacking allows you cool stuff, but the Beta courses, which is made by Nintendo, could be an exploitable topic.
Anyway, nice trick, I guess, I'm no hacker, so not expert to say if it's really that hard.

Let me tell ya .... it is hard to start ... once you got practice and good tools ... it's easier ...but yet some times is try and fail stuff...

I'd say they are going to make a patch, after all, they wouldn't be allowing in the Nintendo forums ways to hack NINTENDO.

Maybe ... but then it would have to be a mandatory patch .... and I believe it would only make it harder to hack not actually hack-proof
