I guess they will ... some time after release ... or as a pakage with a game or so .... they have indeed used platinum and gold on older consoles .. I don't see why not to use them with the Rev.

Famicom- White and red. NES- Only one color, gray. SNES- Only one color, gray(a little purple) GB- Only one color, gray. GBp- Multiple colors, transparent ones included. Silver(platinum) or Gold not included. GBC- Mainly purple. Transparent included. N64- Began with black, then multiple colors like GBp. GCN- Mainly purple. Orange and Black also available. Platinum when it had one year since launch, limited edition. GCN life time will soon end. GBA- Mainly purple. Later with the good response from the platinum GCN, a platinum GBA was released. Limited Edition also. GBA is not being produced anymore. GBP- Only black in US, in Japan was available in platinum and black. GBA SP- Began with platinum and other colors. More colors being released. Similar to GBp except transparent. DS- Launches in platinum combined with black. Japan has more colors available than America. Colors now include: Black, White, Green, Blue, Red, Pink, Light Blue. GBm- Introduces faceplates. Only three color combination available: Platinum, Black, and Gold with Red(20th anniversary edition) REV- Nintendo lets us choose the next set of colors. The colors that are most wanted are White and Black. It will have a glowing blue light in the place were DVDs are inserted.
As you can see, Silver and Gold will not be in the next set of colors. We could probably see next Gameboy using Black and Blue, or White and Blue.

from where did you get that info ....cause I know there were GBC in different colors Including gold and platinum ... besides ... there was a console (Can't remember which one) that had an special edition for pokemon that was both gold and silver ... guess it was the GBC ... but not sure ... also there was a N64 Pikachu edition ... and I have seen pictures of gold GCN ...
one more thing what does GBP stands for? cuase you put GBp and GBP as different console so I guess they are different .. and also I guess GBp is GameBoy pocket ... but GBP? is it gameboy Pikachu?

GBC was never available neither on Gold or Platinum. There was an extremely rare limited edition GBC that was Gold and Silver based on the Gold and Silver Pokémon versions. I own 2 N64s, the original black one, and the special Pikachu edition, which is Yellow and Blue (Like the GBC limited edition of the Yellow version)
GBp- Gameboy Pocket GBP- Gameboy Player
